In a certain corner of the city park, a lady brings food to the cats living here every day. There are almost a hundred cats but not all of them are feral cats. Some are abandoned because the owners know someone will come to feed them. The lady who brings food to the cats is a staff of the Love Furry Friends Rescue Team.
There are so many cats and they breed too quickly that the Rescue team cannot bring them to the shelter. Moreover, the rescuers try to sterilize as many cats as possible. Sometimes the cats are noticed by park walkers and are given something to eat. If they’re lucky, some animal lovers will adopt them.
Cats of all sizes, ran out immediately when they heard the rescuer’s footsteps. That day, welcoming them was not just cats, from a wooden box jumped out a small dog. He was trying to find a way to approach the tray of food. He was so small that he struggled to climb over the dry branches blocking all over the ground. Finally, he got some good food.
The rescuer tried to pick him up in order to check his condition. She checked around, looking in the wooden box where he appeared but found no sign of his mom or other dogs. It seemed like he was abandoned here. He was so hungry that he could only plug his head into the food.
The boy was quickly taken to the vet clinic for a general health check. The dog showed no fear of people and was very obedient. They called him Zhorik – the friendly buddy. In the clinic, Zhorik was carefully examined to prevent parasites from sticking to his body.
In addition, he was vaccinated against the diseases. The boy weighs less than 1kilogram but is very lively and loves to play around.
Zhorik quickly got used to the new environment. His favorite activity was bathing. He was very relaxed and not afraid of water like other dogs. Here, he had his own small carton house, had his favorite toy, and made friends with other dogs.
Soon, an animal-loving family agreed to bring Zhorik home with them. And Zhorik finally has a new family who will treat him well with love and caring.
Rescuing give animals a chance to live in loving houses. But above all, we hope that there is no longer the animal abandoned by cold-hearted people.
