Kids do weird stuff, pets do weird stuff; seeing them interact with each other brings unfiltered joy to my heart. You can imagine how adorable I found this video of a toddler in Ohio having a full-n conversation with his family’s pet cat.

My favorite part of this video has to be the fact that the toddler was considerate enough to speak in the kitten’s own language; the two of them meowing back and forth (possibly saying “goodnight” to each other?) has got to be the purest thing I’ve seen a long time. You won’t know until you see it for yourself.
