Meet Lucas, an older terrier who is perhaps “the cutest damn dog on the planet,” but someone without a soul thought of making Lucas a bait dog that would teach other dogs to fight in the ring for profit was a fantastic idea.
The workers at the City of Sacramento Animal Care Services described this soulful senior as follows:
“Lucas is suspected of being exploited as a bait dog or of being attacked by other dogs when out on the streets. We don’t know what happened to this youngster, but he requires assistance. Possibly deaf/blind. I’m having trouble walking.”
On June 21, Lucas was discovered by a good Samaritan and taken to a shelter.. He adores being petted and loved.
