Unwanted, A Tiny Kitten Is Tossed Into The Water, But She Didn’t Sink To The Bottom, They Left Her Swimming For Her Life!

HOW SHE ENDED UP IN THE WATER, NO ONE KNOWS? WHAT IS KNOWN IS SHE WELL AND TRULY DEFIED THE ODDS BY SURVIVING.

Weighing less than a pound, a tiny kitten beat the odds by trekking through the waters of Tampa Bay. She was probably thrown from a bridge or boat into the water, sent to meet her maker, sadly, this is a fate many kittens and puppies meet in coastal areas. However, this kitten was not about to give in so easily. She didn’t skink to the bottom, she didn’t drown, she swam!

A construction crew found the thoroughly soaked kitten under one of the Bay bridges. Freezing, she was terrified, hungry, and desperate for a drink.

Strangely her little body was covered in sand, something her foster mom Kristin Gilpin thinks occurred during her ocean battle. “The sand most likely came from the turbid water. It was kicked up by tide, storm, and construction to be deposited during a long period in Tampa Bay.“

Her rescuers though, went above and beyond for the wet waif, washing off the saltwater and drying her out.

Is that a little content smile on that cute “Purrito” face?

Please welcome the Unsinkable Molly Brown to the rest of her life. I am working to nourish and hydrate her.

Otherwise, she is friendly and seems fairly healthy after her ordeal. I believe she even managed to drown all of her fleas on her journey.

Molly will remain at her temporary home until she is ready for adoption. Here, she is learning to socialize with other foster kittens to hang out with too.

“I believe she even managed to drown all of her fleas on her journey too,” said Kristen.

And there’s nothing that’s going to keep this brave girl down!

Thank you so much to everyone involved in rescuing and caring for Molly Brown.
